SS 17 Validation Report // Dressing In Primary Colors

We're back again with a fun trend we predicted in our Spring/Summer 2017 Contemporary Market forecasts.

We saw dressing in primary colors as a recurring theme on the runway, from designers like Lisa Perry, to Adam Selman, to DSquared2. 

Now that Spring 2017 has rolled around, we're seeing it everywhere from on the streets, in magazines, in social media and much more. 1st Annual Kaaboo Del Mar Music Festival: Trend Recap

Kaaboo Del Mar: what's trndING?

Our team of analysts hit the street this past weekend at the 1st Annual Kaaboo Del Mar Music Festival.

Headliners included No Doubt, Zac Brown Band, and The Killers. However, the undercard was just as captivating. We enjoyed performances from Snoop Dogg, Girl Talk, Young the Giant, Brandi Carlile, and so many more.

This was not your ordinary music festival. Along with world class musical entertainers, we experienced incredible cuisine from vendors such as Searsucker, craft beers from local breweries, inspiring contemporary art from artists such as Celeste Byers and Aaron Glassen, and comedic relief from the legendary Joel McHale.

When it comes down to it, you know what we were most excited for..... the fashion!! Below is a recap of the top ten festival trends we encountered during our weekend at Kaaboo.

Tucked away in a secluded resort in Baja California, the natural beauty of Mexico was truly revealed during our stay at Las Olas. Gorgeous views of traditional architecture and open seaside left us inspired and awed.

The Mexican homes to our left had the most stunning architecture. Their red roofs against the colors of the cliffside were enough to leave any "palette junkie” inspired and in complete awe.

We traveled to South Beach and encountered inspiration around every corner. From public sculptures to hotel interiors; vibrant color and tasteful design painted the city as we shopped the streets of Miami.

The French Riviera is everything you’d dream of in June! We shopped the best Designer stores of St. Tropez along cute, cobblestone streets, eating amazing meals and stumbling across kitschy stores with fashion gems! After covering the small town of St. Tropez, we cruised down the coast to Cannes to shop their main strip and get even more inspired by their artistic culture and admirable trends.
